This shoot started off with pouring rain. I was afraid we’d have to bring everything inside and it wouldn’t be the natural light session I was looking forward to, or worse *gulp* cancelled! I was so excited leading up to this day that I feared the worst when I realized it was raining outside. But alas, Mother Nature didn’t let us down. The skies started clearing up when the vendors started arriving. Yay!

I got to Goodwood Museum and Gardens in Tallahassee, Florida early to help set up, so we got right down to business. Tiffani from Love Birds Vintage was the coordinator for this event and she was so easy to work with. She kept a cool head and was so open to different ideas.
Everything went so smoothly. There were 8 photographers at this event so we broke up into two groups of four. It was nice being able to meet these like-minded ladies and have some things in common to talk about.

The details of this session were so bold and colorful. It was so different than the pastels I’ve been used to seeing lately. The cake was made by The Starfish Cottage. They did wonderfully in creating something unique and eye catching! The coordination with the flowers on the cake and in the bouquets was just perfect.

I was happy to work with the creations of Blush and Blue Designs again with the invitation suite. They were so beautiful! It felt very tropical and made me want to go to the beach! The ribbons from Lion Ribbon were a perfect touch to show off the rings.  The table linens from Nuage Designs were just what we needed for this theme. The yellows really stood out among the many colors!

We had the pleasure of having Sarah Campbell-Angers from Intrigue Designs (who was also on the Netflix show The Big Flower Fight) come out to teach a class and make the bouquets and floral arrangements for this event during the Styled Shoots Across America tour. The results were stunning! If you’re an aspiring florist, I highly recommend her class. She knows what she’s doing!

The beautiful dress was from Absolute Haven Bridal in Tallahassee, FL. They have a gorgeous selection of dresses for brides and bridesmaids alike.

Our model, Jessica and her husband were such good sports. They knew exactly what to do and made it easy for us! Jessica is already beautiful, and the hair and makeup she had done by Belles Femmes Artistry just made her that much more gorgeous.

These rentals from John Gandy Events were PERFECT! The pink in the pillows and chair went absolutely beautifully with the pink flowers around them. The egg chairs were so great for a bride and groom to stand out on their wedding day. The team set everything up so nicely and they were really easy to get along with. If you’re looking for luxury when planning your wedding, give them a call!

I’m so grateful for Heather Benge at Styled Shoots Across America for planning/designing and hosting this event. There were many hands involved and it turned out so lovely.
