As you know, or should know by now, I’m a huge geek. I love all things sci-fi and comic book. When Sarah Elizabeth said she was planning a Star Wars wedding on May the 4th, there was no way I couldn’t go shoot it!
This session was located at the Magnolia Mule Barn in Fort Valley, Georgia. It was beautiful! There was so much space in the barn itself and all around it outside. There was also a little chapel on the property that had all open windows. It was so unique and cute!
The details were just so cool. It made me want to get married again and have a themed wedding. The amazing cake was by Make it Cake. The front of it resembled Leia’s celebration dress, while the back showcased Han frozen in carbonite. I just had to bring my little BB-8 droid to pull it all together.
How will guests know when and where to go without invitations? Check out this customized suite. These vendors are so talented.
You can’t have a nice reception without tableware. These incredible settings were brought to us by Valerie of The Prissy Plate Company. She has some amazing set ups and I’m glad she got involved with this shoot. We also had some sweet champagne glasses customized by Tara Sutton from To a T.
We had a custom garter made by True Purple Designs Custom Garters. It had the famous “I love you” “I know” exchange between Han and Leia. There were also some stormtrooper cufflinks. Those things are so awesome. The boutonnieres (with florals from Lovins Florist) had tiny Darth Vader and Yoda Lego figures. Who wouldn’t want to wear those?!
Speaking of the florals, the bouquets were just gorgeous. The colors were so soft and feminine. As a bride, I would have loved to have a bouquet like these.
Symphony and Jeffery came out to model as the bride and groom, while Dakota was modeling as our high fashion bride. They all nailed it! I loved working with them and they really brought to life the looks we were aiming for.
I had an absolute blast shooting this styled wedding in Fort Valley, Georgia. I’d love to go back to shoot an actual wedding here one day so if you’re planning on it, give me a call!
